Managing Your Game Servers

Overview

The /servers command provides full control over your game servers directly from Discord. You can monitor server status, start and stop servers, access the console, manage backups and snapshots, and configure server settings - all without logging into the Game Panel.

This guide covers all available server management features accessible through the Discord bot.

Prerequisites

Before using this feature, ensure:

  • Your Discord account is linked to your Billing Account (see: Linking Your Discord Account)
  • For power controls (Start/Stop/Restart), Discord Link must be configured in your Game Panel

Viewing Your Servers

  1. Type /servers in Discord
  2. You'll see a list of all servers linked to your account
  3. Servers are organized into two sections:
    • Your Servers - Servers you own
    • Shared With You - Servers others have shared with you

Server Status Indicators

  • Online - Server is running
  • Offline - Server is stopped
  • Starting - Server is booting up
  • Stopping - Server is shutting down

Server Controls

Select a server to access its control panel. Available options depend on your setup and permissions.

Power Controls

Control your server's power state:

  • Start - Boot up the server
  • Stop - Gracefully shut down the server
  • Restart - Stop and start the server

Console Access

View and interact with your server console:

  1. Click Console on the server view
  2. View Output - See recent console messages
  3. Send Command - Execute a command on your server

Server Settings

Click the Settings button to access additional configuration options.

Server Properties

Edit your Minecraft server.properties file directly:

  1. Click Server Properties
  2. Browse through property pages using the navigation buttons
  3. Click on a property to edit its value
  4. Changes are saved immediately
  5. When you click Back to Settings, you'll be prompted to restart for changes to take effect

Version Changer

Switch your server type or Minecraft version:

  1. Click Change Version
  2. Select a server type (Vanilla, Paper, Purpur, etc.)
  3. Choose your desired Minecraft version
  4. Confirm the change

The bot will download and install the new server JAR automatically.

Snapshots

Create and restore full server snapshots:

  1. Click Snapshots
  2. Create Snapshot - Save your current server state
  3. Select an existing snapshot to view options:
    • Restore - Restore the server to this snapshot
    • Lock/Unlock - Protect snapshots from deletion
    • Delete - Remove the snapshot

Warning: Restoring a snapshot will replace all current server files.

Backups

Manage your server backups:

  1. Click Backups
  2. View all available backups with size and date
  3. Select a backup for options:
    • Restore - Restore files from this backup
    • Lock/Unlock - Protect backups from deletion
    • Delete - Remove the backup

Troubleshooting

I don't see my servers

  • Ensure your Discord account is linked via /settings
  • Verify your server is active in the Billing System
  • Try refreshing the server list

Server won't start

  • Check if the server is already starting (status may be delayed)
  • Ensure your server isn't suspended due to unpaid invoices
  • Check the console for error messages

Properties changes aren't taking effect

  • Server properties require a restart to apply
  • Use the restart prompt when exiting the properties menu

Snapshot or backup restore failed

  • Ensure your server is stopped before restoring
  • Check that the snapshot/backup isn't corrupted
  • Contact support if the issue persists
