Setting Up a Subdomain for Your Minecraft Server

Overview

Obsidian Servers allows you to create custom subdomains for your Minecraft server, making it easier for players to connect without remembering IP addresses and port numbers.

Creating a Subdomain

  1. Log in to the Obsidian Servers Panel
  2. Select your server from the dashboard
  3. Navigate to the "Subdomain" option in the side menu under the "Management" section
  4. Click the "Create Subdomain" button
  5. Choose a name for your subdomain
  6. Select a domain extension:
    • .my-game-server.net
    • .obby.host
  7. Select which port you want the subdomain to connect to
    • If left as default, it will use your primary Minecraft server port

Example

If you choose "pickaxe" as your name and ".obby.host" as your extension, your players can connect to your server using:

pickaxe.obby.host

Managing Subdomains

  • All your created subdomains appear in a table on the subdomain management page
  • You can delete any subdomain by clicking the trash bin icon next to it
  • You can update a subdomain's settings using the update button

Limitations and Additional Subdomains

  • Each server can have a maximum of 5 subdomains
